The Nissan GT-R (R35) has reached the level of maturity as Japan's top sports car. The "T-spec (named after the initials of Trendmaker, Traction Master, and development code)" was released as a special edition vehicle for the 2022 model announced in 2021.
It is available in two versions: the standard "Premium Edition" that pursues the Grand Touring (GT) realm, and the "Track Edition Engineered by NISMO" that pursues both GT and Racing (R). The 3.8-liter V6 twin-turbo (570 hp/65.0 kg-m) has not been modified in any way, but it comes standard with carbon ceramic brakes inherited from the GT-R NISMO, gold RAYS forged lightweight aluminum wheels, carbon parts (the extent of which varies depending on the grade), and a deep moss green interior (Premium Edition only).
In addition, the Millennium Jade used on the final limited edition R34 GT-R Nur and the Midnight Purple that was a hot topic on the R33 GT-R were both familiar colors for GT-R fans, and were revived as exclusive colors for the T-spec, which also attracted attention.
The unsprung weight was reduced by 14kg by adopting carbon brakes and new aluminum wheels, and the suspension was also revised. There were rumors that this was the final limited edition model, and there were over 2,700 applications for the 100 units sold in Japan (later increased to 120 units), once again proving the popularity of the GT-R to the world.
